1. Restart your computer in Safe Mode by pressing F8 just before Windows start and then use the keyboard up or down arrows to highlight Safe Mode and then press enter when you see Advanced Boot Options. If you don't see Advanced Boot Options, restart your computer again and then try again.
2. Wait for Windows to load system files. After that, login to your account when you see the login screen and then open System Restore by clicking Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
NOTE:
(a) If System Restore cannot be opened, your antivirus program might have removed the file as it might had infected after using the progarm. Try restoring the file from your antivirus.
3. Click on Choose a different restore point and then tick Show more restore points.
4. Look at the Date and Time and then restore your computer to the restore point before you open PerX.exe.
5. Wait for your computer to restore. When you see the login screen after you restore, login to an Administrator account to see if it is successfully. If it is not successfully, try to restore to an earlier restore point and then repeat step 4. If it is successfully, continue to step 6
6. Do a full system scan on your computer. (You can skip step 6 and proceed to step 7 if you don't want to waste time)
7. If you do not have an antivirus program OR after doing a full scan, remove your antivirus program (if you have) and install avast! Free AntiVirus. The reason why I want you to install avast! Free AntiVirus is because it has a boot-time scan feature which allow you to scan your computer before Windows start.
8. After install avast! Free AntiVirus, open the program and then click Maintenance > Update > Update engine and virus definitions.
9. After updating, click on Security > Antivirus. Click on Schedule Now which is beside Boot-time scan.
10. Restart your computer and let avast! scan your computer.
11. Try running some of your computer software and if there is any error, reinstall the program.
