How to defragment your hard drive in Windows 7

1. Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security
2. Under Administrative Tools, click on Defragment your hard drive
3. Under the Current status, select the disk you want to defragment and then click Defragment disk.

NOTE:
1. You should analyze the disk first so you will know whether you need to defragment the disk. If the number stated under Last Run is above 10% after you analyze the disk, you should defragment the disk.
